Lunchtime was always the most stressful part of the day. Customers came in nonstop, orders piled up, phones rang, and there was constant chaos — just a normal day at the restaurant. Anna had worked there for two years and knew every little detail: where the sugar bowls were kept, which table always complained, and who always left generous tips.

The restaurant owner loved suddenly appearing in the dining hall, as if he was always looking for something to criticize. That day, he was especially irritated — constantly checking his watch, nervously moving chairs, and muttering something under his breath.

Anna was carrying a tray of coffee to the table where the restaurant owner was sitting. The passage was narrow, and when she tried to place the cup on the table, the owner suddenly turned around without looking and his elbow hit the tray. The glass tipped over, and the hot coffee spilled directly onto his shirt.

He cursed so loudly that even the musician in the corner stopped playing.

— Are you completely crazy?! — he shouted, pointing at Anna. — Do you even realize you spilled coffee on the restaurant owner? How did someone as careless as you even get this job?!

Everyone knew he was the one who caused it — they had all seen him hit the tray. But nobody dared to say anything. Anna stood silently, feeling humiliation tighten inside her.

The owner continued his angry speech, almost enjoying the moment:

— How many times have I told you: think about what you’re doing! Did you really think I wouldn’t notice your mistakes?! I’ll make sure you regret this!

He insulted her, shouted at her, and humiliated her in front of everyone, as if he was taking out all his anger on a helpless waitress.

Anna took a deep breath. Fear turned into exhaustion. And finally — into determination.

Then she did something that shocked everyone in the restaurant…..

She calmly wiped her hands with a napkin and spoke loudly enough for the entire room to hear:

— Are you sure you want to speak to me in that tone?

The owner looked up, blinking in surprise.

— What are you talking about? — he said coldly.

— The thing is, — Anna turned to face him, — the cameras in this restaurant work perfectly. Both the ones in the dining area… — she pointed at the ceiling, — and the ones in the back room.

The customers became alert. The employees froze.

The owner gave a nervous laugh:

— And what does that have to do with anything?

— It has everything to do with it, — Anna stepped closer. — Because this morning you spent more than twenty minutes in that same back room with the new waitress. And the cameras recorded… everything.

The owner immediately went pale. A quiet whisper spread through the restaurant.

But Anna didn’t stop.

— And those recordings, as you understand, will soon end up with your wife. She actually came yesterday with your children — such lovely boys. It would be a shame to lose them, wouldn’t it?

The owner looked completely frozen. He opened his mouth but couldn’t say a single word.

Anna finally felt the years of humiliation lifting from her shoulders. She spoke loudly:

— You know what? I was already planning to leave anyway. So…

She removed her apron, folded it neatly, and placed it on the table.

— I quit. And I hope you have enough courage to look your wife in the eyes tonight.

She turned around and slowly, confidently walked toward the exit.

The customers stepped aside for her. Some quietly whispered:

— Good for her…

Others looked at the owner with disgust.
