The nanny began noticing strange marks every time she changed the baby’s diaper. At first, she tried not to pay much attention to them, but one day she decided to install a hidden camera—and what she saw left her frozen with horror.

Laura Martin had been working as a nanny for more than five years and believed she had seen almost everything. So when she took a job with the Blake family, nothing seemed suspicious. It was a spacious suburban home with a neat yard, friendly parents, and a nine-month-old baby boy named Noah.

His mother, Claire, spent most of her days at work. His father, Michael, was a software developer who usually worked from home, locked away in his downstairs office. The first few weeks passed peacefully.

Then Laura started noticing something strange.

Every time she changed Noah’s diaper, she saw thin red marks on his thighs. They didn’t look like a rash or skin irritation. The marks were too even, as if someone had pressed their fingers into his skin. At first, she blamed the diapers—perhaps they were too tight or poorly designed.

A few days later, the marks disappeared.

Then they came back.

Soon after, there were strange sounds as well.

While Noah was sleeping during the day, Laura frequently heard footsteps upstairs. Floorboards creaked. Someone seemed to be moving around. Whenever she asked Michael about it, he calmly replied that he had been at his computer the entire time. One day, Laura went upstairs and clearly heard a door close from inside the nursery, even though the room had been empty just moments before.

Her concern gradually turned into fear.

The next morning, after noticing fresh marks on Noah’s body, Laura realized she could no longer ignore the situation. She ordered a tiny camera and placed it in the corner of the nursery, aimed directly at the crib.

Nothing happened during the first two days. Laura began to think she had imagined the whole thing. But on the third afternoon, she decided to review the footage.

At first, everything looked normal.

Then the nursery door slowly opened.

A person stepped inside….

Laura immediately knew it wasn’t Claire.

And it wasn’t Michael.

It was a complete stranger.

The man walked up to the crib and leaned over the baby. At that moment, Laura felt her breath catch in her throat.

The stranger moved with confidence, as if he had done this many times before. He gently grabbed the baby’s thighs and lightly squeezed the skin.

Noah didn’t wake up. He simply sighed softly in his sleep.

A few seconds later, the man adjusted the blanket and quietly left the room, carefully closing the door behind him.

Laura didn’t hesitate. She grabbed her coat, picked up the baby, and rushed out of the house without explaining anything to Michael, who was calmly working at his computer. Within an hour, the police were at the house.

The footage was reviewed several times. Michael turned pale as soon as he saw the stranger’s face.

He recognized him immediately.

It was his older brother, Ethan.

Officially, Ethan had been listed as a missing person. Several years earlier, after a serious family dispute, he had disappeared. Everyone assumed he had either moved abroad or died. The truth, however, was far more disturbing.

Ethan had been secretly entering the house through an old attic access point that only he knew about. For months, he had been observing the family, studying their routines, checking locks, cameras, and the alarm system.

The marks on the baby’s body had been left intentionally. They were meant to be alarming but not seriously harmful. His goal was to prove that he could enter the house whenever he wanted.

Investigators later discovered that Ethan intended to use this information to blackmail Michael. He wanted money and planned to demonstrate that he could gain access to the house at any time and potentially harm the child.

Police later found a backpack hidden in the attic containing copies of recordings, children’s belongings, and detailed notes documenting the family’s daily life.

Ethan had been preparing to contact his brother very soon.

If not for Laura, the situation could have ended much worse.
