The millionaire pretended to faint in his office to test his new secretary, but when he heard her quietly whispering on the phone, he was completely shocked

At forty, Alex Orlov had long been a millionaire, but along with money he had developed another habit — he trusted no one. Over the years in business, dozens of people had tried to deceive him. Partners disappeared with money, employees leaked information to competitors, and some even tried to blackmail him. Over time, he became a harsh man. He fired people at the slightest suspicion and always said the same thing: people remain good only as long as there is no big money on the table.

A few weeks ago, a new secretary arrived in his office. Her name was Emma. She was young, calm, and extremely organized. She was never late, always completed her work on time, handled documents carefully, and asked very few unnecessary questions. Many colleagues were happy that such a reliable person had joined the company.

But that was exactly what made Alex suspicious. Over the years, he had learned one simple rule: perfect people do not exist. If someone looks too perfect, they are hiding something.

At first, Alex just observed Emma. Sometimes he would unexpectedly enter the reception area, stay late at the office, or ask her difficult questions. But she always remained calm and continued working.

Then he had an idea.

One evening, he decided to test her. He scattered files around the office, pretended to argue angrily on the phone, and then faked fainting.

Emma came in, checked on him, organized the documents, and quietly left. In the hallway, Alex heard her phone call:

“Hi, baby… I know today was hard, but you did well. You’re a real hero. Sorry, I’ll be home late, my boss isn’t feeling well, I may need to take him to the hospital.”

Alex was completely shocked.

Later, he discovered that Emma was caring for her disabled brother and working to pay for his surgery. He then increased her salary and paid for her brother’s operation.
